I have been back in the US since Thursday, going back to Israel tomorrow.
Had a lovely shabbat back in Caldwell. Basically this is how it went:
X [where X is a friend, acquaintance or random person who knows Peri but who I don't recognize]: Hi! How are you? So great to have you back!
Me: Yes, it's great to be back.
X [smiling]: Wow, how is everything going, it's so great to see you, so great to have you back - are Peri and the kids here too?
Me: No, just me.
X [smile fades]: Oh.

It's great to see you blogging again... Do Peri and the kids have blogs? No? Oh....
Alex is full of it...as usual. I always enjoy seeing him and having conversations about the state of the world as well as all the random, um...."stuff" that seems to fall out of his mouth without any connection to the brain. People were very happy to see him - they fought over the rights to his time!!!!! It is not his fault that Peri has the warm, fuzzy personality in the family. Who could have resisted our "pass around pack" babies and a sit with Eshy to hear about his view on life, as it is....
